Sorry Ashleigh is only half dressed, but sometimes you just can't choose "the moment" if you know what I mean. Anyway, sorry no pictures of me with Alyssa yet, not that all of you are dying to see a picture of me. I don't know if it's because I'm the household photographer or if it's my vanity that keeps me from posting a photo with me in it. Hmmm.....

Ashleigh's 3rd Birthday

As you now know, Alyssa was born on Ashleigh's birthday so she didn't get to have a party. I also didn't plan a big one because Alyssa's impending birth was so close to Ashleigh's birthday that I didn't want to have to take a chance on cancelling, so we just celebrated with the Wingate family on Easter. Ashleigh didn't mind at all that we didn't have it on her actual birthday. She was just happy to get presents and lots of attention.

Presenting the newest member of our family...

Alyssa Catherine Wingate was born on April 5th (yes, she has the same birthday as her big sister). She was 7 lbs, 13 oz and 20". Big sister Ashleigh has been loving the fact that she has a new baby sister. We sometimes have to tell her to stop "loving" on baby sister because she gets overwhelmed. Other than that, it's been smooth sailing between the two. Mom and Dad are doing pretty well considering the adjustment and recovery after a c-section. Let's pray that continues!
